RMESC was set up in an effort to hasten the transfer of advanced metalworking technologies and to upgrade the capability and increase the productivity of the engineering and metalworking industries in the region. The Center is being managed by the Cebu Center for Light Engineering and Metalworking (CCLEM), a non-profit organization.

- installed and operated a Vertical Machining Center and Surface Grinder to upgrade the Center's capability in mold and die production

- generated an income of P2.8 million

- served 84 clients

- complied 400 job orders

     HACI is a non-profit organization of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Central Visayas that seeks to provide PWDs mobility aids, skills development and training, livelihood and employment referrals, among others.

    DOT 7's technological assistance with HACI produced the following results:

- developed and commercialized five (5) new enabling products on top of the existing eight (8) enabling tools

- provided two (2) technology interventions through trainings and technical assistance

- generated an employment of three (3) more personnel bringing the number of its orthopedically-challenged workers to 17

- produced 87 units of different enabling tools for PWDs

- registered a total income of P0.436M, showing a 50% increase from the previous year
